VLADIVOSTOK, Sep 5 (PRIME) -- Russia and China are studying a suggestion of Mongolia to build a natural gas pipeline through the country, Mongolian President Khaltmaagiin Battulga said on Thursday at the Eastern Economic Forum.
“The Russian president expressed support, and China’s president promised that he would consider a suggestion of Mongolia for construction of a gas pipeline from Russia to China through the territory of Mongolia,” he said.
He also reiterated that Mongolia had put forward an initiative to create a super-ring for distribution of power in Northeast Asia. There are four large consumers of power in the region, and Mongolia is capable of carrying out cheap and stable supplies of power, he said.
